Hi! I inherited this metal house/cottage from my mother, who had it since childhood in the 1940’s, and she always told me she got it in a box of Cracker Jacks. I’ve done a little research and found that a company called Tootsietoys made the metal prizes at that time, and that they also made the metal monopoly pieces. I know that monopoly was made by Parker Bothers. Did Tootsietoys also make anything for Milton Bradley? (The letters MB are embossed on the roof, and I can’t think what else it could mean? I’ve attached pictures. (The jump ring was added, obviously it didn’t come with one.) I’d love your expert opinion. I believe my mom, that she got it in a Cracker Jack Box, but I can’t find an image of one like it online.

Re: Metal house/cottage
I don't know anything about what Tootsietoy produced, other than the pot metal pieces that were used as Cracker Jack premiums, so I'm afraid I won't be much help. The charm loop and jump ring would lead me to believe it might have been intended for use as a pendant or on a charm bracelet. I am fairly certain this wasn't a Cracker Jack premium. Somewhere I have a copy of a Tootsietoy catalog. If I can find it, I will post whether or not this item appears in it. Any other collectors out there know more about this?
